Biography, Education and Training

Donald Brenneis is a linguistic and social anthropologist at the University of California, Santa Cruz.  He studied anthropology as an undergraduate at Stanford and received his Ph.D. from Harvard. Anna Friz creates media art, sound art, radio and transmission art, working across platforms to present installations, broadcasts, films and performances. Her creative and scholarly works often reflect upon media ecologies, land and land use, infrastructures, time perception, radio and transmission art histories, and critical fictions.
