I am an assistant teaching professor at the Computer Science and Engineering Department of the University of California, Santa Cruz. Before joining UCSC, I was a lecturer and assistant project scientist at the University of California, Riverside. I obtained my PhD in computer science from the University of Southern California, where I worked with Professor Jerry R. Hobbs at the Information Sciences Institute on building a knowledge base for deep lexical semantics. I received my MS in artificial intelligence and robotics from Sharif University of Technology and my BS in software engineering from Razi University.
My current research interests are AI for social good and computer science education.
