Dr. Dianne Hendricks is a teaching professor and the director of the undergraduate program in BME. She teaches molecular biology labs (BME 21L, 22L, and 23L), introductory biotechnology (BME 105), and technical communication (BME 185) in addition to mentoring students in independent study projects in a variety of areas including assistive technology and bioethics. Prior to UCSC, Dr. Hendricks taught at the University of Washington in the departments of Bioengineering and Human Centered Design and Engineering. She earned a PhD in Genetics from Duke University and a B.S. in Molecular Biology and a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin.
