Hello! I prefer to be called Sarah Beth (not Sarah). I am a PhD Candidate in Doug Kellogg's lab, where we study how cellular growth influences cell cycle progression. I began my research experience while attending Monterey Peninsula College through the ACCESS program. I eventually transferred to complete my undergraduate degree at UCSC. Since then, I have worked and conducted research in several labs at UCSC, ranging from creating a tripeptide library in natural product chemistry to how aging affects hematopoietic stem cells and now understanding the molecular mechanisms that control cell cycle progression.
