My current research focuses on the visual culture (contemporary art, architecture & mass media) of climate change and collective memory.

I have designed, taught, and guest-lectured for, courses spanning the visual culture of memory, histories of photography, technologies of respresentation, activist art, the politics of asian american visual culture, the holocaust in a digital world, and writing about place.

I am currently Curator for UC CAAN, a UC-wide, multi-campus climate art initiative and an Associate Researcher in the Art Department.  I was recently a curatorial fellow and researcher for An Aesthetics of Resilience, a collaborative art-science climate justice intiative through UCSC's Institute of Arts & Sciences and the Friedlaender Lab.
